Getting To Know Our Victims More
I have compiled some interesting facts about each of the murder victims. I don't know if any of this is useful or if these facts simply add some humanity to these poor victims, but I thought I should share what I had learned.
1. Dr. Harold Minton
He was an amateur beekeeper and produced small batches of honey every summer, which he labeled with handwritten botanical notes like “Clover – East Field” or “Wildflower – Late Bloom.”
2. Evelyn Cross
She had perfect pitch and could identify musical notes without any reference tone. She once corrected a hospital piano that had been tuned slightly flat.
3. Marcus Bell
He was obsessed with cooking competition shows and hosted elaborate themed dinner parties for his friends, despite claiming he “could barely boil pasta” at work.
4. Dr. Lillian Shore
She ran marathons in three different states and kept every race bib pinned to a corkboard in her home office.
5. Samuel Price
He collected antique postcards from cities he had never visited and carefully researched the buildings pictured on each one.
6. Nurse Andrea Holt
She had a small balcony garden filled entirely with herbs and refused to grow flowers because she said, “Everything in a pot should be useful.”
7. Dr. Leonard Weiss
He once appeared as a contestant on a regional trivia game show in the 1980s and won a year’s supply of frozen lasagna.
Janet Watkins
She was an avid concert-goer and had attended more than 150 concerts in her lifetime.
